Martial Arts Apparel

Bruce LeeIf you’ve read my (About Me) page, then you would know that I love sports. Baseball, basketball, football, etc…. But before I played any of these sports I had already been training in boxing and martial arts, tae kwon do to be exact. I love the art! So in this post I’d like to share with you a little about my favorite martial artist and share with you some of the awesome companies that sell martial arts apparel.

Back when I started training in martial arts, it wasn’t considered a sport but rather an art, an art passed down from generation to generation. It was an honor to learn from the masters and Grandmasters of the art.

But the art never really popularized back then, that is until the greatest martial artist of all time came along with his cool persona, lightning fast speed, highest kicks I’ve ever seen. Yes I’m referring to Bruce Lee! Mr Lee loved his art and worked very hard to perfect it. To perfect himself.

Mr Lee was born in San Francisco, California on November 27, 1940. He was raised in Hong Kong but returned to the U.S.A at age 18 to receive his higher education from the University of Washington in Seattle.Bruce Lee

He was known for his films such “The Big Boss” in 1971, “Fist of Fury” in 1972, “Way of The Dragon” in 1972, “Enter The Dragon” in 1973 which was my personal favorite and “Game of death” in 1978.

Bruce Lee was idolized by millions and will always be my favorite martial artist of all time. Thank you Mr Lee for all you’ve given to the art I adore.

Okay I said I’d talk about him briefly so let’s move on to some martial arts apparel. Most of you know that when you begin training at any martial arts school, the school will usually either sell you your uniform or if they are running a special, they will include your uniform for free when you sign up which usually consist of a contract.tae kwon do

I must be honest and say that I’ve never been a fan of contracts, whether it be for a gym or a martial arts school.Things happen that are out of our control. Your parents or yourself can lose their or your job for whatever reason, regardless you’ll still be locked in to the contract.

You either pay or you’ll be sued and your credit will be ruined. Thankfully some schools are using the month to month method of paying, which in my opinion is so much better. I’ll give you an example, my daughter was learning the art of Muay Thai. last summer she was in a car accident (Not fatal thank God) well it was impossible for her to train or work. It’s a year later and she still hasn’t been able to work or train.

Thankfully she was with a school that excepted month to month payments or she would have been stuck paying out the year without even attending classes. So try and find a school that goes by the month to month method if you can. You’ll be thankful you did if something unfortunately happens to you.

Okay enough of that, here are some martial arts apparel and accesories companies out there where you can purchase all of your martial needs. Happy hunting!
